Life’s For Sharing - T-Mobile does it again

For those of you not familiar with T-Mobile’s new campaign ‘Life’s For Sharing’ - the company’s first venture into guerilla ad production - started with this little beauty, the ever popular T-Mobile dance at the Liverpool Street Station in London. It’s a great example of viral ad production done very, very well.

Well, T-Mobile is back in action. On April 30th, the mobile company invited 13,500 of their closest friends to Trafalgar Square. Most of them thought they were there for another dance scene - but what they got instead was a good old-fashioned sing-along to a classic Beatles tune. This makes me heart happy - a great example of true social media in action - getting people to talk about your product in a big way. Take a few minutes and just look at how far engaging your consumer will take you. NOTE: You will most likely get goose-bumps. You’ve been warned.

No Goose Bumps here. I’m over the massive meet-up in the name of marketing. This one seemed pretty ho-hum.

I’m a Beatles fan, and a London fan. To each their own. :)

Love the fun factor - something infectious about people coming together for something as simple (and great) as singing a classic song.

I liked it, great video, but not sure how it promotes T-Mobile. Didn’t see any single mention of them either on the screen or anywhere else. Maybe the fact that I know that it was produced for T-Mobile is enough. Reminds me of what Red Bull did when it came on the scene, not even mentioning the company when it would sponsor various events - mostly crazy ones like wind surfing from Florida to Cuba.

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Not only did I get goosebumps, but I also shed a tear or two (could be the warm fuzzy aspect or simply the fact that I’m pregnant and emotional… let’s credit it to the concept for now).

I think it’s a beautiful thing to bring strangers together in such large numbers, and then simply have them share a song. I also love that they don’t stuff a logo or a brand down anyone’s throat - it’s a beautiful and classy way of leaving an impression.

Life’s for sharing - love it. Now, someone show me how I can get out of my Rogers contract and sign up with T-mobile…..
